Breast uplift

Alana

I had a consultation for a breast enlargement but I was informed for best results I need an uplift. Has anyone else been in the situation and had an uplift?

I have booked to meet again to discuss the breast uplift procedure in more detail but i would love to know if anyone else has been through this and what was scarring and recovery like, also are you happy with you results?

Thank you x

Hi Alana, this happened to a friend of mine she was really upset but the surgeon explained to her if she had the implants only they may look good for a few years but she would end up needing an uplift costing her more money in the long run and two operations as they will drop further because of the weight of the implant which makes sense. It took her a while to decided and I think she saw him again twice before she booked. So she ended up going for the uplift with a small implant, they look so good! I cant remember the surgeons name but will try and find out for you, she isn't great on computers or I would tell her to join.

Hello Alana,

This is a problem we get a lot. Women have their heart set on having a ‘straight forward’ breast enlargement and are then told they need an uplift. Patients sometimes react positively but then some react negatively and this primarily comes from the fear of the unknown. A new procedure that patients haven’t fully researched can be a scary prospect! Adding to that the procedure will unfortunately cost more, the recovery time is longer and you will have more scarring. It’s a very daunting position to be in but it’s worth remembering that our surgeons want the best outcome for you. Have any other ladies had this problem and gone through with an uplift? Alana, let us know how your second consultation goes as we’re keen to stay with you on your journey.

Thank you Amyadele!

I really don't want to have to go through 2 operations or be left disappointed, so I'm looking forward to meeting the surgeon for more information and reassurance that this is right for me. Do your friends look fairly natural? @moderator I will have a look on the website and do some more research, but do you have any more information about scarring as this worries me. Do you think this scarring will be seen in swimwear?

Hi Alana,

The same thing happened to me! But I feel much happier knowing that if an uplift is needed then that's the best for me. I'd hate to get a year or 2 down the line and need another operation..

I hope you're 2nd consult went well!
